Light is everything. Light is warmth. Light is energy. Light is power. Without light we are nothing. Light breathes life into the small visual details sometimes overlooked.

In this series, I have taken photos of various light sources: sunlight and candlelight scattered through glass and condensation. Each of these images yield color variations, gradient, warmth, and textures that I find particularly appealing. I then take these images through a pixel sorter to bring each image back to almost a primordial palette and uncover more details and gradients. After this, I take a repetition brush tool to expand upon the more satisfying details and push them further. In doing this, I dive into a deeper appreciation for the colors and the details that these light sources produce in communication with surrounding materials.
